The Lismore Trousers are named after Lismore, an Irish settlement founded by Saint Mo Chutu mac Fínaill in 637 AD around a great monastery. It was a centre of Irish learning and culture for centuries and successfully resisted the Vikings. Its castle is owned by a Duke and has some of the finest gardens in Ireland.
